We are an Australian based manufacturer selling into leading pathology laboratories in Australia, and distributing worldwide, and are looking to expand our diverse, supportive and talented team.

We are seeking a methodical and attentive Manufacturing Assistant to provide assistance in the assembly of finished kits which includes reagent manufacturing, product labelling, continuous quality checks, contamination control and all processes relating to the physical production of GSL’s molecular diagnostic technology products, which enable our customers improve patient care and outcomes.

Directly reporting to Production Manager, as the successful candidate you will:

• Perform the production of EasyScreen™ diagnostic kits
• Follow manufacturing instructions meticulously and record all work efforts where required
• Run and maintain production equipment required for the production of finished kits
• Liaise with production staff, external logistics/transport teams to ensure an effective and efficient daily operation.
• Report any observed non-conformances or stock irregularities to Production Manager
• Receive and unloading pallets
• Pack shipping boxes and pallets as required
• Organize inventory transfers to other warehouses or sites

Essentially to succeed in this role you will possess:

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Ability to perform tasks of a repetitive nature
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail

It is advantageous if your personal talent tool kit includes:

• Knowledge of good manufacturing process and quality guidelines and protocols
• Previous production experience in ISO 13485 accredited manufacturing environment
• Previous experience working with assembly line machinery and equipment
• Competence in using Microsoft suite
• Previous experience with stock counting.
