Genetic Signatures EasyScreen™ Pathogen Detection Kit Performance Highlighted at Recent Molecular Microbiology Conference

Two scientific presentations given at the recent 5th Molecular Microbiology Meeting in Sydney, Australia have described the superior performance of Genetic Signatures EasyScreen™ Pathogen Detection Kits.

The first presentation titled “Pathogenicity of Dientamoeba fragilis” by Damien Stark of Sydpath, NSW reported the use of the EasyScreenProtozoan Detection Kit for the improved detection of D. fragilis and other gastrointestinal protozoa in stool. The EasyScreenKit demonstrated superior performance over other Real-Time PCR assays with 100% sensitivity and specificity.

A second presentation, entitled “Real-time PCR detection of Human Rhinoviruses” was presented by Matthew Wynn of Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney, who reported an increased number of infections detected with the EasyScreen Respiratory Detection Kit as compared to another respiratory assay.

John Melki CEO of Genetic Signatures said “We are delighted that these two presentations show continued evidence of the excellent performance of our EasyScreen kits for infectious pathogen detection.”
