We seek a results driven Territory Manager, based in Victoria, to passionately develop and execute strategies to bring Genetic Signatures transformative molecular diagnostic solutions to customers, becoming trusted partner, enabling them to improve their patient healthcare outcomes.

Genetic Signatures are a global molecular diagnostics company, driving improved patient outcomes using our innovative 3base® technology to provide configurable clinically relevant molecular diagnostic solutions for infectious diseases.  We support leading pathology laboratories around the world and with a keen focus on meeting our customer needs, we continue to expand our global customer base.

We are on the lookout for a results driven Territory Manager, based in Victoria, to passionately develop and execute strategies to bring Genetic Signatures transformative molecular diagnostic solutions to customers, becoming trusted partner, enabling them to improve their patient healthcare outcomes.

 

This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a team who is ‘All in’ to achieve success across an international stage. Reporting to the ANZ Head of Sales and Support, our results driven and customer focused Territory Manager will be responsible for:

  • Meeting or exceeding the annual revenue goals in the geographic territory by developing and executing regional business plans that incorporate account specific business plans, strategies and knowledge of business drivers within the region
  • Developing long term customer alliances to further support and drive capital sales-based activities: prospecting, qualifying, account management, and providing sales support to customer base
  • Developing and implementing territory plans and account-based strategies to achieve sales revenue growth
  • Coordinating all activities associated with and required within the sales cycle, e.g., demonstrations/evaluations, liaising with the team re installations, maintenance and technical support at customer laboratories. Reporting on new product requirements, opportunities and competitive activities
  • Supporting marketing initiatives and driving customer testimonials or publications
  • Providing support for the international sales effort as required
  • Working with the technical support team to ensure products are performing as intended, and customer needs are met
  • Responding quickly to customer concerns or issues regarding equipment or kits to achieve resolution in a timely manner
  • Assisting with activities associated with preparation of system installs, maintenance and training as required
  • Developing customer relationships and proactively manage key customers within the territory and other agreed jurisdictions as required
  • Driving sales and customer support excellence by responding quickly to customer concerns or issues regarding equipment or kits
  • Coordinating attendance and representation for Genetic Signatures at tradeshows and special interest group meetings that are relevant to the Diagnostic portfolio
  • Constantly reviewing competitor landscape, including analysis of strengths and weakness of competition
  • Preparing monthly reports and forecasts for assigned accounts
  • Ensuring customer interactions are recorded in a timely manner within the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM)

Essential for success as our Territory Manager are a:

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the diagnostic/life sciences marketplace
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets in past roles
  • Demonstrated success in highly complex sales processes
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent
  • Ability to prospect cold
  • Ability to strategically plan and execute sales
  • Customer service
  • Understanding of business process and high-level contract negotiation
  • Can shift gears comfortably between the hands on the strategic
  • Resilient traveller (regular interstate overnight visits will be required)

It is advantageous if our Territory Managements talent tool kit includes:

  • Ability to present technology within a commercial context and understanding of scientific issues
  • Experience using the Miller Heiman approach to sales
  • Experience working in a molecular diagnostic related field
  • Understanding of Molecular diagnostics, PCR or scientific principles
  • Strong existing relationships with diagnostic testing laboratories
