Systems Integration Engineer Lead

We are seeking a results driven Systems Integration Engineer Lead, to lead our dynamic Systems Integration team. This role is responsible for coordinating, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to seamlessly connect different software and hardware systems, applications (assays), and data sources within Genetic Signatures, ensuring a unified system experience.

Genetic Signatures improves patient care and outcomes by developing innovative diagnostic technologies which simplify molecular pathology.

We are an Australian based manufacturer selling into leading pathology laboratories in Australia, and distributing worldwide, and are looking to expand our diverse, supportive and talented team.

We are now seeking a results driven Systems Integration Engineer Lead, to lead our dynamic Systems Integration team. This role is responsible for coordinating, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to seamlessly connect different software and hardware systems, applications (assays), and data sources within Genetic Signatures, ensuring a unified system experience.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and/or participate in technical projects per the GSL product development processes.
  • Design and develop automated processes for running molecular-based diagnostic assays on instrumentation that perform liquid handling, sample processing, and optical signal analysis.
  • Participate on project teams through the steps of design, development, and validation.
  • Transform data through the analysis of data from different sources to ensure compatibility and consistency for seamless integration, define requirements and test plans, execute tests for verification and validation as needed for the entire system, analysis software etc.
  • Define integration needs and/ solutions for IVD products and provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues for product care and address updates as needed.
  • Act as primary technical contact for internal/external customers and suppliers during product development.
  • Coordinate work of systems engineers and technicians as required.
  • Interface with external design engineers (internal and/or OEM vendors) to understand system functionality and coordinate the implementation of requirements and design specifications.
  • Perform requirements analysis and testing
  • Collect, analyse, and develop report packages to support system verification and validations, and compile content for regulatory submissions.
  • Developing and preparing detailed failure modes and effects analysis of systems
  • Coordinate comprehensive technical documentation and user guides
  • Document seamless

To be successful as our process-oriented Systems Integration Engineer Lead, you will possess talent in:

  • Molecular biology including real time PCR
  • Engineering or validation for IVDs or other regulated products
  • Software, product, process or equipment validation
  • Requirements management software
  • Process- and solution-oriented mindset
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starting with ability to work both independently and in a team

You will also hold a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related field (master’s or PhD advantageous).

It is advantageous if you are experienced in the validation of products / services in the diagnostics / life sciences marketplace/s and have an understanding of the methylation field.
