Molecular Instrument Specialist

We are seeking a curious and tenacious Molecular Instrument Specialist to bring our unique and newly FDA cleared molecular diagnostic solution to customers in the north eastern states of the US, supporting Genetic Signatures to become trusted partners, and enabling our customers to improve their patient healthcare outcomes!

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations North America, our results driven Molecular Instrument Specialist will be responsible for:
- Meeting the annual revenue goals in the geographic territory by developing and executing regional business plans that incorporate account specific business plans, strategies and knowledge of business drivers within the region
- Develop long term customer alliances to further support and drive capital sales-based activities: prospecting, qualifying, account management, and providing sales support to customer base
- Develop & implement territory plans and account-based strategies to achieve sales revenue growth
- Coordinate all activities associated with and required within the sales cycle, e.g., demonstrations/evaluations, liaise with the team re installations, maintenance and technical support at customer laboratories. Report on new product requirements, opportunities and competitive activities.
- Develop and nurture relationships with Key Opinion leaders (KOLs) and strengthen Genetic Signatures’ reputation within the US market.
- Drive sales and customer support excellence by responding quickly to customer concerns or issues regarding equipment or kits
- Coordinate attendance and representation for Genetic Signatures at tradeshows and special interest group meetings that are relevant to the Diagnostic portfolio
- Comply with regulatory requirements for post market surveillance as per FDA Quality System Regulation
- Consistently probe accounts and prospects to understand and anticipate changes in the market and communicate promptly to leadership
- Implement and share feedback on both internal and competitive programs and how they impact the market
- Offer solutions for local programs designed to increase sales productivity and / or customer loyalty
- Preparing monthly reports and forecasts for assigned accounts and keeping accurate records in the Customer Relationship Manager system (CRM)
Essential for success as our Molecular Instrument Specialist:
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience in the local diagnostic / life sciences marketplace
- Proven in meeting targets in past roles
- Entrepreneurial approach

- Strategic sales planning and execution skills
- Superior negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
- Relationship building at all levels of an organisation
- Resilience
It is advantageous if our Molecular Instrument Specialist’s talent tool kit includes:
- Experience using, or exposure to, Miller Heiman methodology
- Ability to present technology within a commercial context and understanding of scientific issues
- Experience using the Miller Heiman approach to sales
- Experience working in a molecular diagnostic related field
- Understanding of Molecular diagnostics, PCR or scientific principles
- Strong existing relationships with diagnostic testing laboratories
