Biostatistician

We are seeking a Biostatistician to join our dynamic Product Care team. This role plays a key part in shaping product development by designing, analysing and interpreting complex data sets to optimise diagnostic performance and improve patient outcomes.
Genetic Signatures improves patient care and outcomes by developing innovative diagnostic technologies which simplify molecular pathology.
We are an Australian based manufacturer selling into leading pathology laboratories in Australia, and distributing worldwide, and are looking to expand our diverse, supportive and talented team.
We are now seeking a Biostatistician to join our dynamic Product Care team. This role plays a key part in shaping product development by designing, analysing and interpreting complex data sets to optimise diagnostic performance and improve patient outcomes. The Biostatistician supports the development and validation of our molecular diagnostic technologies, enabling informed decisions through robust statistical insight.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Performing statistical analyses of assay development, clinical trial, and observational study data using software such as SAS, R, or STATA.
- Generating descriptive and inferential statistics, graphical data representations, and interpret findings.
- Contributing to study design including statistical analysis plans (SAPs), sample size calculations, and experimental design.
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to provide statistical input and support across development, validation, manufacturing, regulatory, and research.
- Writing statistical reports, visual summaries, and regulatory documentation.
- Conducting quality control of statistical outputs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- To support risk-based study designs and legacy data review to guide robust process improvements.
To be successful as our Biostatistician, you will possess talent in:
- Statistical analysis and data interpretation across life sciences applications
- Programming in SAS, R, STATA or similar tools
- Designing experiments and clinical trial methodology
- Clear communication of statistical concepts to non-statistical stakeholders
- Working cross-functionally with technical and scientific teams
- Managing multiple tasks with attention to detail and timelines
You will also hold a master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics or a related field. A bachelor’s degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
It is advantageous if you have experience in the life sciences or diagnostics industry, particularly in assay development or product validation.
