ANZ Head of Sales and Support

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced ANZ Head of Sales and Support to spearhead sales strategies and deliver Genetic Signatures' innovative molecular diagnostic solutions to our customers. Reporting directly to the CEO, this leadership position offers the chance to collaborate with our dynamic, globally unified "All In" team.

Genetic Signatures are a global molecular diagnostics company, driving improved patient outcomes using our innovative 3base® technology to provide clinically relevant molecular diagnostic solutions for infectious diseases.  We support leading pathology laboratories around the world and with a keen focus on meeting our customer needs, we continue to expand our global customer base.

We are seeking a ANZ Head of Sales and Support, based in NSW, to passionately develop and lead the execution of strategies to bring Genetic Signatures transformative molecular diagnostic solutions to customers, to become trusted partners, enabling them to improve their patient healthcare outcomes!

This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a team who is ‘All in’ to achieve success across an international stage. Reporting to the CEO, our results driven and customer focused ANZ Head of Sales and Support will be responsible for:

  • Achieving or exceeding the annual revenue goals in the geographic territory by developing and executing regional business plans that incorporate account specific business plans, strategies and knowledge of business drivers within the region
  • Providing focus on maintaining and expanding sales in the region
  • Develop and implement account-based strategies for continued sales revenue growth
  • Provide support for the international sales efforts, as required
  • Drive and lead participation in conferences within the region
  • Developing long term customer alliances to further support and drive capital sales-based activities: prospecting, qualifying, account management, and providing sales support to customer base
  • Developing new KOLs in key markets
  • Working hand in hand with Marketing to execute key strategies
  • Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
  • Directly managing the Territory Manager and Technical Support Manager to ensure the team are operating optimally, products are performing as intended, and customer needs are met
  • Responding quickly to customer concerns or issues regarding equipment or kits
  • Liaising with vendors or other suppliers where necessary
  • Assisting with activities associated with system installs, maintenance and troubleshooting as required
  • Assisting the Technical Support team to identify and resolve product and customer related issues
  • Preparing monthly reports including forecasting of sales revenue
  • Constantly reviewing competitor landscape, including analysis of strengths and weakness
  • Ensuring customer interactions are recorded in a timely manner within the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM)
  • Liaising with Regulatory Affairs Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including TGA and IVDD).
  • Coordinating attendance and representation for Genetic Signatures at tradeshows and special interest group meetings that are relevant to the Diagnostic portfolio
  • Constantly reviewing competitor landscape, including analysis of strengths and weakness of competition
  • Preparing monthly reports and forecasts for assigned accounts and keeping accurate records in the Customer Relationship Manager system (CRM)

Essential for success as our ANZ Head of Sales and Support are a:

  • Minimum of 10 years sales experience in the local diagnostic / life sciences marketplace
  • Proven in meeting targets in past roles
  • Experience developing business proposals and successful high-level contract negotiations
  • Strategic sales planning and execution skills
  • Superior negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
  • Relationship building at all levels of an organisation

It is advantageous if our ANZ Head of Sales and Support’s talent tool kit includes:

  • Experience in management/leadership of teams in Sales, Marketing or technical support
  • Ability to present technology within a commercial context and have an understanding of scientific issues
  • Experience using the Miller Heiman approach to sales
  • Experience working in a molecular diagnostic related field
  • Understanding of Molecular diagnostics, PCR or scientific principles
  • Strong existing relationships with diagnostic testing laboratories
